Spain Football ‘giants’ Barcelona has confirmed that Lionel Messi has “a minor right quadriceps injury” ahead of La Liga resumption.

Barcelona will resume their title defense against Real Mallorca on 13th June, exactly three months after the 2019-2020 campaign was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Spain champions retaliated in a statement earlier today that Messi “trained in isolation” due to a slight injury although Argentina international is expected to join other team members in training in a few days.

Messi’s performance has been exemplary throughout the 2019 – 2020 campaign and has scored a total of 24 goals with 16 assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.
