Serie A league leader Juventus has confirmed that defender Daniele Rugani has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus. Juventu released a statement on Wednesday night announcing the bad news but insisted that the Italy international is not showing any symptoms.
The 26 years old Italian international now becomes the first player from Juventus team to be confirmed to have contracted and tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus.
A statement by Juventus read that,
“The footballer Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic”.
“Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including the census of those who have had contact with him.”
All kinds of sports in Itally have been halted until at least 3rd of April due to Coronavirus.
Daniele has been playing for Juventus for his entire senior career having joined the club from Emboli’s junior ranks back in the year 2013. He has played a total of 94 matches for Serie A league leader winning 4 league titles.
