The number of Coronavirus cases in Kenya has risen to a total of 234 today as 9 more people test positive for the COVID-19 disease.

While addressing the nation at the statehouse today, President Uhuru Kenyatta confirmed that for the last 24 hours one patient had succumbed to the disease raising the number of total deaths to 11.

The latest new patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 are between the age of 2 and 64, President Kenyatta said. The total number of deaths in Kenya now stands at 32.

Kenyatta also announced that almost 1,000 people were under quarantine while the other 156 were in isolation facilities.
