Over the years, Kakamega has emerged as one of the best counties in the country in terms of academic performance. 1. Kakamega Primary School
Kakamega Primary School is located in the heart of Kakamega town. It has a population of about 3,200 pupils. In 2019, the school had more than 30 students who scored over 400 marks in KCPE exams. In the county, four of their pupils were among the top 50 best performers.
Kakamega Primary School has 296 pupils in their Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classes. They are taught by six teachers.
