The biological brother to Tottenham Hotspurs Defender, Serge Aurier has been shot dead in Toulouse, France.

Reports reaching us indicate that the 26-year-old, Christopher Aurier was shot in the abdomen near a nightclub in Toulouse City and the murder ran away

Tottenham has now confirmed that the man who was shot by unknown assailants was the blood brother of the Serge Aurier.

“The Club is deeply saddened to confirm media reports that Serge Aurier’s brother passed away in the early hours of this morning.

“Everybody at the Club sends their sincerest condolences to Serge and his family. Our thoughts are with them all.” The club said

The police visited the scene of the crime and closed off for investigation

The murder incident took place at around 5 am in the morning on the Boulevard de Thibaud. The deceased was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead

Just like his brother, Christopher was a footballer too. He previously had trials with Brentford City FC in 2011 and Stalybridge Celtic.

Christopher played football at amateur level and was most recently on the books with French fifth-tier side Toulouse Rodeo.

The murder incident comes hours after Serge had played for Spurs in their 2-1 win over rivals Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
